What is APDSA?
APDSAは、Asia Pacific Dental Students’ Associationの略称で、アジア太平洋歯科学生会議と呼ばれています。
1968年に発足し、現在では16か国が加盟しています。
主な活動は年1回・8月に開催されるAnnual Congressと、12月に開催されるMid Year Meetingです。夏休み期間中に開催されるAnnual Congressへは日本からも数十名が毎年参加をしています。
また、APDSAの運営は加盟国の学生代表によって構成されるExecutive Committeeによって行われています。
Objects
APDSAは以下の理念・目的の下に活動をしています。
1. To promote dental health in this region.
2. To promote closer regional and international co-operation among dental students.
3. To assist in organizing an international convention of dental students.
4. To uphold studies and to promote contact of dental students in the regions.
5. To advance dental science in the region.
6. To protect the interests of dental students in the region.
7. To publish at least one newsletter and one journal every year for circulation to all members.
8. To be a totally non-political association.
